Our chapter project was developed to encourage “Respect, Empathy, and Acceptance” . DECA and Best Buddies, along with their Peer Buddies, gathered in the JPT Gymnasium on October 27th to participate in a number of fun activities designed to foster friendship and understanding among students.   DECA members taught good handshake skills and the art of tieing a tie to Best Buddies and had presented prizes to students winning Hot Potato Handshake and Beach Ball catching contests. DECA Co-Presidents Ricky Cutler and Katie Santangelo, and Best Buddy Robbie Forti were emcees of the event.  The club has raised over $2,000 for Special Olympics.
